Formé Medical is Making Testing Available to Immigrant Communities
Formé Medical Center & Urgent Care partners, Gina Cappelli and Maria Trusa, realized that too many people with Covid-19 symptoms needed testing and didn’t know where to turn, especially the immigrant communities that were most affected, some even performing “essential” services. Challenges include language, identification, and the fact that existing “drive-thru” sites require a car. Regardless of immigration status or socioeconomic conditions, those with symptoms can now get tested M–F, 9AM–5PM, by appointment only at Formé Medical Center’s convenient medical offices on S. Broadway in White Plains.
Those in need can get testing for a low-cost fee of $25 with the cost of lab fees waived. With ~170 tests being performed daily for both COVID-19 and antibodies, results from partner Quest Diagnostics take just 1-2 days. Call 914-723-4900 or visit Formé Medical Center & Urgent Care to learn more.
