Legislative Enhanced Advocacy Program (LEAP)

Available exclusively to BCW members, LEAP provides wrap-around, individualized services aimed at positive engagement with government leaders and decision-makers. Managed by a BCW team with deep roots and wide-ranging public sector experience, LEAP delivers up-to-the-minute information and strategic guidance from our seasoned professionals – the resources, relationships, and roadmap to advance your unique priorities. How LEAP Can Help You

LEAP benefits and services include:

• Communications with State legislators, committee chairs, key senior staff, the Governor’s office, and agency leaders, as well as Federal, County, and Local leaders.
• Memos of support or opposition to policy makers on key issues.
• Strategic planning in support of or opposition to pending legislation, budget items, regulations, and/or policy proposals.
• Individual consultation with BCW’s advocacy team.
• Coalition building with like-minded partners and allies across New York State.
• Coordinated tours of LEAP member offices and facilities, so that federal, state, county, and local leaders can observe and learn about your work.
• BCW participation in public hearings and meetings through oral comments and written statements.
• Mobilization of BCW member and general public support through our “One Click” advocacy and engagement platform.
• Weekly updates on legislative actions and committee agendas to ensure proactive attention to and track progress of priority items.
• Two complimentary tickets to BCW’s government-related events.

* Please note that membership in the BCW LEAP Program will require your company name to appear on a lobbyist registration filed with the NYS Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government (COELIG) and will further require semiannual reporting by you to COELIG and adherence to certain lobbying-related laws and regulations. The monies paid for membership in the Legislative Enhanced Advocacy Program will be disclosed on BCW’s semiannual filings to COELIG and will also count towards your company’s own $5,000 registration threshold for NY State lobbyist registration. More compliance information will be provided to assist you.
