Legislative Enhanced Advocacy Program (LEAP)

Available exclusively to BCW members, LEAP provides the wrap-around, individualized services of a boutique lobbying firm at a small fraction of the typical cost.  Managed by a BCW team with deep roots and wide-ranging public sector connections, LEAP delivers unique access to policymakers, up-to-the-minute information, and strategic guidance from our seasoned professionals – the resources, relationships, and roadmap to move your priorities forwards.  We look forward to helping you take the next LEAP forward.

LEAP benefits and services include:

• Direct access to State legislators, committee chairs, key senior staff, the Governor’s office, and agency leaders.
• Additional connections to Federal, County, and Local leaders.
• Memos of support or opposition to policy makers on key issues.
• Strategic planning in support of or opposition to pending legislation, budget items, regulations, and/or policy proposals.
• Individual consultation with BCW’s lobbying team on all matters of advocacy.
• Drafting of legislative and/or regulatory text and amendments, along with identification and recruitment of Majority sponsors.
• Coalition building with partners and allies across New York State.
• Facilitated tours of LEAP member offices and facilities, so that federal, state, county, and local leaders can observe your work.
• BCW participation in public hearings and meetings through oral comments and written statements.
• Mobilization of BCW member and general public support through our “One Click” advocacy and engagement platform.
• Weekly updates on legislative actions and committee agendas to ensure proactive attention to and track progress of priority items.
• Two complimentary tickets to BCW’s legislative/political events.

*Please note that utilization of BCW’s lobbyist will require your company name to appear on a lobbyist registration filed with the NYS Joint Commission on Public Ethics (JCOPE), and subsequent reports filed by the lobbyist, and the monies paid to the Enhanced Advocacy Program will be disclosed on BCW’s semiannual filings to the JCOPE and will also count towards your company’s $5000 registration threshold for NY State lobbyist expenditures.
