Westchester County’s booming healthcare sector continues to grow with the grand opening on Wednesday of the Hospital for Special Surgery’s new 50,000 square foot state-of-the-art outpatient care center just off I-287 in White Plains.
Located at 1133 Westchester Avenue in White Plains, the facility features 20 exam rooms, 3 x-rays, and an MRI suite. It also offers a full spectrum of rehabilitation services including aquatics and concussion therapy and sports performance services such as motion analysis, return to play testing and training. Specialties include adult reconstruction and joint replacement, foot and ankle, pediatric orthopedics, physiatry, sports medicine (both primary care and surgical) and rheumatology.
“Our patients come from more than 100 countries and all 50 states because HSS is a ‘one of a kind’ healthcare organization,” said Louis A. Shapiro, CEO and president of HSS. “HSS Westchester now makes that world-class quality of care more convenient to our neighbors in Westchester County and surrounding areas.”
The grand opening ceremony was attended by White Plains Mayor Tom Roach, HSS officials and area business leaders. Sara James, Senior Vice President of Membership & Programs for BCW attended the event.
