A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words: Photographer Gives Back with Photos

Bronxville-based photographer Amanda Gentile has been using her downtime to volunteer her skills to take portraits of first responders. She reached out to the Eastchester EMS to offer a free photo shoot so they could have photos for their social media efforts as they get the word out about staying home, wearing a mask and other important information for Westchester residents.

“I was amazed to learn the Eastchester EVAC is majority volunteer. Imagine volunteering during this crisis to be a first responder,’’ said Gentile.

She has also taken photos for the Eastchester Police and local bakery, Chantilly Bakery in Bronxville, and other small businesses in the community to help them publicize their businesses during this difficult time. She is working to line up more shoots in her community.
