February 9, 2022—A Legacy of Values: Writing your Ethical Will
An ethical will presents an opportunity to convey to your loved ones and community your values, beliefs, and wisdom. While legal wills provide instruction on what to do with material assets, including legacy bequests to support causes you care about, ethical wills are not legal documents. They are deeply personal, and can include memories, lessons learned, hopes for the future, and statements of your life’s purpose.
In this presentation, Rabbi Pamela Wax, spiritual care coordinator at Westchester Jewish Community Services, will share the history of ethical wills, read some classic and contemporary examples, and help you consider how you might use an ethical will to pass on your legacy.
Trusts and Estates lawyers and wealth advisors are integrating ethical tools into their work. This webinar will be of interest to the professional advisory community.
