Dorf & Nelson LLP is pleased to welcome Attorney Alvin F. Benton, Jr. to the Litigation Department. Mr. Benton offers comprehensive and individualized attention to clients in all matters of Litigation, including Business and Real Estate Litigation and Corporate Finance transactions.

Before representing and advising clients in matters of business and real estate litigation, Mr. Benton began his legal career as a Criminal Judicial Clerk in The Ninth Judicial Circuit Court of the State of Florida. He then joined Holland & Knight LLP where he served as lead litigation associate in Florida and Texas state, federal and bankruptcy court actions involving breach of contract, receiverships, debt restructurings, commercial and timeshare foreclosures, landlord/tenant disputes, and preference/fraudulent conveyance cases.

Accomplished presenter and published writer, Mr. Benton is also the recipient of a number of accolades including Florida and Texas SuperLawyers Rising Stars List Honoree, recipient of the National Bar Association – IMPACT 40 Under 40 – Nation’s Best Advocate Award, and Lawyers of Color Hot List Honoree.
