Dear Colleagues,
The New York State Education Department’s Office of Career and Technical Education is developing a four-year state plan to improve career and technical education program quality. Career and Technical Education (CTE) is comprised of courses and programs in the content areas of: agricultural education; business and marketing education; family and consumer sciences education; health sciences education; technology education; and, trade and technical education.
This four-year state plan is a part of the New York’s Perkins V State Plan development. There are many elements to the development of this New York’s Perkins V State Plan. The New York State Education is seeking your feedback CTE/work-based learning and alignment with workforce needs. A short survey has been developed to gather your feedback.
This survey seeks to solicit feedback and recommendations from the business community regarding the alignment of secondary (high school) education programs with workforce needs and work-based learning opportunities for secondary students. The New York State Education Department is seeking to incorporate your survey feedback in the Perkins V proposal.
