Regeneron Proposing 207,000 SF Lab at Its Greenburgh Campus

In a major move that would further solidify Westchester County’s leadership role as the hub for biotech in New York State, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals is proposing to build a 207,000-square-foot laboratory and parking garage at its 250-acre Eastview campus in the Town of Greenburgh.

A Regeneron representative said the work to take place in the proposed facility would include producing proteins used in research and production. Proteins were used in creating Regeneron’s Covid-19 monoclonal antibody cocktail.

The prior property owner, BMR-Landmark at Eastview, received approvals in 2014 to build a 128,000-square-foot, 4-story building for office plus research and development use. Regeneron is seeking to amend that plan to a 207,000-square-foot, 2-story R&D building. The proposed parking garage would have 1,030 spaces and six levels.

“Regeneron’s proposed plan is great news for Westchester County which is already home to Acorda Therapeutics, New York Medical College’s BioInc@NYMC, Westchester Medical Center and the planned North 60 life sciences campus,” said BCW President and CEO Marsha Gordon.
