BCW Member MediSprout Launches Integrated Telehealth Platform
MediSprout, a leader in the development of innovative healthcare and telehealth solutions, this week announced that its simple-to-implement V2MD telehealth platform will now integrate with Amazon Alexa for patient scheduling and integration with its Withings Wireless Blood Pressure Monitor. These integrations allow patients to seamlessly schedule video appointments with their physician’s office through simple voice commands via Amazon Alexa from a patient’s home, and to share important blood pressure information through the Withings integration.
“Major medical institutions and physicians are rapidly embracing advancements in telehealth that improve the quality of care by providing greater connections and flexibility in visits,” said Samant Virk, MD and Founder and CEO of MediSprout. “V2MD by MediSprout is easy to implement on the physician side and widely adopted on the patient side because it provides a simple installation and integrations like those with Alexa and other internet-enabled health monitoring systems like Withings.”
“No-shows and late cancellations cost the U.S. healthcare system more than $150 billion a year,” says Dr. Virk. “Telehealth is the fastest growing technology in the healthcare space because it allows physicians to use their time more wisely. By leveraging video calls to fill late or canceled appointments and schedule after-hour and follow up calls, the doctor’s office has created efficiencies and enabled better overall care while turning callbacks and traditionally non-billable time into a new source of revenue.”
