BCW Member Allied Converters Among Companies Statewide in Manufacturing Week Bus Tour
The Business Council of New York State recently launched a 2023 Made in New York Manufacturing Week Bus Tour to highlight New York’s manufacturing history and showcase the current employers of the industry.
Among the companies visited on the tour was BCW Member Allied Converters Inc. of New Rochelle. Allied Converters is an energy independent manufacturer of bags, sheets, rolls and shred made from Cellophane, polypropylene, polyester, colored films, or polyethylene.
The Business Council of New York State kicked off the trip in the Capital Region on October 6th, Manufacturing Day, and concluded October 12th in Syracuse during Manufacturing Week. Staff from the Business Council of New York State traveled on a bus through five regions of the state to tour manufacturing facilities. Business Council of New York staff were joined by staff from local and regional chambers, elected officials, and representatives from the state’s Empire State Development agency. The Allied Converters tour was conducted by Richard Ellenbogen, President of Allied Converters, and John Ravitz, Executive Vice President and COO.
“Manufacturing is such an important industry in New York State as it generates more than $75 billion in goods and employs over 400,000 people,” said Heather Mulligan, President & CEO of the Business Council of New York State. “As the state-wide manufacturing association, we are excited to hit the road and visit our great manufacturers and learn from them about how they can grow and prosper to continue providing jobs and keep economies strong across the state.”
