BCW joins US Chamber as part of Business Delegation to Israel

The BCW of Westchester got a glimpse of Israel’s high-tech sector last week during a visit to Israel with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

BCW President and CEO Marsha Gordon joined the group of leaders as part of an effort to create stronger relationships between the U.S. business community and the State of Israel.

The tour included Israel’s start-up ecosystem, the Innovation Center (Science, medicine, security, and space), Fintech Hub, The Bridge, Teva Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturers Association of Israel, Ben Gurion University, and Volcani Agricultural Institute.  Cultural tours included the Old City, Lakiya Bedouin town, and Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center.

“The world’s top tech companies, IBM, Apple, Intel, Google , Facebook , Intel , Samsung , Oracle and more all are doing work in Israel,” said Gordon. “That is moving their companies, and our lives, forward. Israel is behind companies and products we use all the time.  Waze, Mobileye, high-tech facial recognition systems and so much more were invented here. From water technology, to energy, security, medical, health and transportation safety, Israel’s innovation economy is on the global forefront of making things happen.”
