Yankwitt LLP Supports White Plains Restaurants in Need

To support local restaurants that have suffered from the pandemic, White Plains-based law firm Yankwitt LLP has started purchasing gift cards as tokens of appreciation for clients and business partners.

The first restaurant selected for this new “referral appreciation program” is Kee Oyster House, located on East Post Road, just steps away from Yankwitt LLP’s offices at 140 Grand Street.

“Wine has always been our go-to gift,” said Russell Yankwitt, founder and managing partner of the firm. “But given the dire state of restaurants today, the gift of a good meal from a White Plains establishment is a more meaningful gesture. It is time to shift our focus to help those who need it the most, and right now, that group includes restaurants.”

“We are thrilled that Yankwitt LLP chose Kee Oyster House to kick off its new program,” said Elvi Hoxhaj, co-owner of the restaurant. “It means so much that a neighboring business has reached out to us like this. We not only benefit from the income from the gift cards, but we also have an opportunity to grow our business with new patrons. We can’t express are how appreciative we are of Yankwitt LLP’s kindness and support.”

“Assisting our local community is more important than ever,” added Yankwitt. “We are fortunate to be able to do this in several ways, including a recently established scholarship at Pace Law School for people of color who are committed to social justice and demonstrate financial need, and pro bono legal services for the Legal Services of the Hudson Valley, an organization on which Yankwitt serves on its board. Yankwitt LLP is also a sponsor of the 2021 Westchester Leukemia & Lymphoma fundraiser Man & Woman of the Year.

Founded in 2009, Yankwitt LLP is an elite trial and litigation law firm based in White Plains, New York. With one of the largest litigation teams in Westchester County, Yankwitt LLP represents businesses and high-net-worth individuals in their litigations across a broad range of matters.
