Yankwitt LLP Promotes Scott Wenzel to Counsel

White Plains, NY – January 7, 2025 – Yankwitt LLP, Westchester County’s go-to law firm for high-stakes, bet-the-company litigation, is pleased to announce that Scott Wenzel has been promoted to counsel.

Wenzel’s practice focuses on complex commercial matters and criminal defense and he plays an integral role on some of the firm’s biggest matters. His keen analytical skills, strategic approach to litigation, and commitment to client success have made him an invaluable asset to the firm and its clients.

“Scott has consistently delivered exceptional results for our clients and demonstrated the professionalism and skill that defines our firm,” said Russell Yankwitt, founder and managing partner. “His promotion to counsel is well-deserved, and we look forward to his continued success at Yankwitt LLP.”

Prior to joining Yankwitt LLP, Wenzel was an associate at prominent Am Law 100 law firm Latham Watkins and served as a federal law clerk to the Honorable Debra M. Brown of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi.

Wenzel earned his J.D. from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University where he graduated summa cum laude and was the managing editor of Pace Environmental Law Review.

In 2024, Pace awarded Wenzel the Shining Star Award, which recognizes up-and-coming leaders in the alumni community who have demonstrated significant contributions early in their careers to the legal profession, their employers, and the community early in their careers. He has also been named to the New York Metro Super Lawyers Rising Stars.
