Storytelling Symposium Panelist
Leadership requires good communication. On November 12, I was a panel participant at the 2025 Storytelling Symposium base out of Hamburg, Germany. The session was aimed at executives, personnel developers, consultants, coaches, and trainers and was delivered in German and English.
The panel consisted of Tamsen Webster, MA, MBA, Dr. Franz Hütter, Jerome Deroy, CPC, CEO of Narativ , Inc. and me the Communication Catalyst and Humorist. The panel discussed challenges, tips for executives and trainers, and what a story-listening approach, storytelling techniques, the neural science of storytelling and how narrative methods facilitate change.
My colleague Jerome Deroy, CEO Narativ discussed the Narativ Method and how it builds focused listening and engagement skills. I modeled the method by delivering a humorous change management story that called forth a character from my childhood in Queens, New York.
