Tompkins Mahopac Bank Strengthens Commercial Lending Team

Tompkins Mahopac Bank (TMB) announces that Senior Vice President, David DeMilia, has been appointed to senior commercial lending manager, a recognition that supports TMB’s new Commercial Lender Development Program.

In his new position, DeMilia, who has 20 years of industry experience, including more than 10 years with TMB, oversees the bank’s entire commercial lending team, which spans Dutchess, Putnam and Westchester counties. DeMilia, who assumed the senior commercial lending position from John Kraus, TMB’s senior vice president/senior commercial loan officer, also is tasked with growing and managing the bank’s commercial loan portfolio.

“Dave is a consummate banking professional and dedicated industry expert with an astute vision for the banking needs of our business communities,” said Gerald Klein, CEO of TMB. “Not only is he a highly valued member of the Tompkins family, but Dave also is an adept leader of the bank’s exceptional commercial lending team and its ability to provide the region’s businesses with comprehensive banking resources.”

As part of the bank’s ongoing plan to strengthen the commercial lending capabilities of its team, Kraus now leads the bank’s new Commercial Lender Development Program, a comprehensive effort aimed at supporting and growing the next generation of talent.

“As senior bankers retire, and the recruitment of high-level banking professionals slows, Tompkins is filling the gap by proactively training individuals across its footprint through our Commercial Lender Development Program, providing essential support to businesses and their banking needs,” said Kraus.

In further support of the commercial lending team, Amy Greiner, a vice president whose 25 years in the banking industry includes 10 years with Tompkins, has moved from her role as business development officer to commercial lending relationship manager in Dutchess County, along with Gary Grandstaff. Amy is responsible for developing and expanding new commercial loan relationships in the Dutchess region.
