Honors Include Rotarian of Year, Paul Harris Fellow Recognition
Brewster, NY, August 15, 2016 –Tompkins Mahopac Bank, with locations in Dutchess, Putnam and Westchester counties, announces the recognition of three of its employees by area Rotary Clubs.
Beth Lewis, vice president/branch manager of Tompkins Mahopac Bank in Mahopac, and Patricia Roden, branch manager/assistant vice president of Tompkins Mahopac Bank in Hopewell Junction both were named Rotarian of the Year by their clubs. Amy Greiner, branch manager of the bank’s Wappingers Falls location, was recognized for individual contributions.
Lewis, who was honored by the Rotary Club in Lake Mahopac and is a member of multiple committees within the organization, has contributed to community outreach through programs on behalf of the club, including the Putnam Community Action Program (CAP) and its work with local food pantries, plus student scholarships for academic excellence and community service, along with other efforts.
“I appreciate being recognized by the community and my fellow Rotarians,” said Lewis. “My membership with the Rotary has worked out very nicely for me. I’m now a recognized person in this area and am glad to continue Tompkins Mahopac Bank’s commitment to giving back.”
Roden also was named Rotarian of the Year, with her designation through the East Fishkill Rotary Club.
“I am proud to be part of an organization that gives so much back to the community with an all-volunteer membership,” Roden said.
Greiner was recognized by the Wappingers Falls Rotary Club, who awarded her the Paul Harris Fellow recognition, which acknowledges individuals who contribute, or whom have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 to the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.
Rotary International is a non-profit organization whose regional clubs around the globe focus on work related to health, education and poverty in their local communities, including contributing to student scholarships, fundraising efforts and donations to area non-profits.
