Stacey Tompkins Selected as BRI Council Member
The Building and Realty Institute (BRI) recently selected Stacey Tompkins, of Tompkins Excavating to join their Commercial Builders Advisory Council (CBAC).
The CBAC is one of the BRI’s seven component advisory councils, which cover all major segments of the construction industry, including commercial building, residential construction, remodeling, multifamily housing, cooperative and condominium living and governance, realty property management, and suppliers, specialty services and professional disciplines. The CBAC specializes in land use, building codes, working with state regulatory agencies, and monitoring developments on finance and credit topics, environmental issues, taxes and security. Members of the CBAC are given a forum to voice their concerns on issues facing commercial developers and builders, and property owners and managers. The council considers the topics and concerns raised by its industry members, and works with the BRI to help solve for them.
Nominees for each council were reviewed and voted on by those in attendance at the BRI’s November General Membership meeting last year. Stacey Tompkins, President and Owner of Tompkins Excavating, was nominated and seconded by directors sitting on both the Commercial and Residential advisory councils, as a result of her ongoing participation in and sponsorship of the BRI’s meetings and events, along with the essential role her company has played in the Westchester and Hudson Valley region over the past 36 years since its inception.
