Sharp Again Naturally to Host “Mountains for Minds” Fundraiser

BCW member Sharp Again Naturally will be hosting its inaugural Mountains for Minds, a national challenge combining fundraising and fitness to raise awareness about dementia. Mountains for Minds launched in March 2023 and will culminate during the month of June 2023, which is Alzheimer’s and Brain Health Awareness Month. Participants in Mountains for Minds can choose their own “mountain”—a hike, a walk, steps, a bike ride, or even an actual mountain—raising funds to support the mission of Sharp Again Naturally through supporters of their campaign. A virtual gathering will take place on June 27, 2023, to celebrate the milestones everyone achieved while fundraising for Alzheimer’s awareness across the country.

Sharp Again Naturally Board Chair Steve Ledvina shares his support and enthusiasm for the event: “Mountains for Minds is a great way for everyone to help drive forward SAN’s mission through fundraising while challenging themselves to live their own healthy lifestyle. I will be running ‘America’s Highest Road Race’, a 14.5-mile race ending at 14,000 ft, as my challenge, and I look forward to seeing the challenges everyone chooses for themselves!”

The fundraiser will support Sharp Again Naturally’s programs and services to help people with early-stage memory impairment, including the Stay Sharp Foundational Coaching Program, free webinars, outreach programs, weekly mindfulness and meditation sessions, and more.
