Russell Yankwitt Honored With the 2024 Westchester Changemakers Award

Yankwitt LLP is pleased to announce that Russell Yankwitt has been named a Westchester Changemaker by Pace University. Yankwitt and his co-honorees will be recognized on April 18, 2024, at the Westchester Changemakers Award Ceremony, which pays tribute to outstanding individuals who have contributed significantly to the advancement of Westchester County.

The annual ceremony, regarded as Pace University’s premier Westchester event, emphasizes the pivotal role of community and locality in fostering success for both the university and its students. The ceremony honors those who have played instrumental roles in shaping Westchester into the vibrant community it is today.

Throughout his extensive legal career, Yankwitt, Westchester’s go-to litigator and trial attorney, has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to community service and passionate support for the region. A lifelong Westchester resident, he serves on the executive committee of Westchester County Bar Association and is a dedicated board member of the Business Council of Westchester and Legal Services of the Hudson Valley. He is also the founder and current chair of Westchester Committee of the Federal Bar Council.

His prior service on the Haub Law Board of Visitors and Yankwitt LLP’s sponsorship of the Immediate Impact Scholarship offered to first-year students at Pace Law, further underscore his dedication to fostering excellence within the legal profession.

Yankwitt will join a prestigious roster of past honorees, including prominent figures such as Marsha Gordon, President of the Business Council of Westchester, Marty Ginsburg of Ginsburg Development Companies, Belinda Miles of SUNY Westchester Community College, and Marie Gallagher of PepsiCo.

The event will be held at Kanopi at The Opus Westchester at 6:00 p.m.
