Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley Partners with Cleancult Laundry Detergent
Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley (RMHGHV) recently announced their partnership with Cleancult Laundry detergent, a certified plastic neutral company headquartered in New York City. Cleancult, which was founded in 2017, donates laundry detergent each month that is used by families that stay overnight at the House or utilize the day program which allows them to do laundry free of charge while their child is in the hospital.
The House, located just steps away from the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital in Valhalla, provides a home away from home for families of sick children. When families face medical challenges the House offers an atmosphere of comfort, hope and courage, keeping them close to the care and resources they need. The House has 12 bedrooms that are filled to capacity almost every night and provides meals, two laundry rooms and other services for families during their stay.
According to a company representative, Cleancult uses sustainable packaging for the detergent which provides an effective clean, powered by nature’s finest ingredients and are on a mission to create a cleaner kind of cult that helps people switch from a bad plastic habit to a cleaner refill ritual. “Through our Plastic Neutral Certification, we help fund and support sustainable waste management projects that recover and remove as much plastic waste from the environment as possible,” he said.”We are thrilled to support the Ronald McDonald House in their mission and pass along our laundry detergent that can help so many families in their time of need.”
Since opening in 2011, the House has served over 2,750 families and goes through approximately 12 cartons of laundry detergent monthly. The donation from Cleancult provides enough for half of that amount and the House receives some of the additional laundry products needed through their Amazon Wishlist.
