Robert Sanders to Lead New Leros Ground Transportation Meeting Services Division
Leros Transportation Group, a leader in ground transportation solutions located in Valhalla, N.Y., has announced the appointment of Robert O. Sanders, Jr., as President of their new Leros Meeting Services Division.
Sanders has worked for a variety of prestigious, world-renowned companies in the hospitality industry as a management leader in sales, training, marketing, and operations, and he founded Hospitality Resource Group of White Plains, N.Y. With his deep-rooted expertise in hospitality and event management, Sanders’ leadership will be a strong complement to Leros’ established success in the transportation industry, helping forge new synergies between meeting services and logistical excellence.
Sanders will be responsible for working with area meeting planners and executives to develop new business for Leros clients and others in the New York/New Jersey/Connecticut tristate area and beyond.
Before founding HRG, Sanders served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Abigail Kirsch Culinary Productions, the largest catering company in Westchester County, N.Y., where he managed a 50-person organization and developed a series of successful marketing campaigns. He is also preparing a new podcast, Hospitality Now, in partnership with Sharc Media of White Plains, N.Y., co-hosted by Jeff Nyikos, CEO of Leros Transportation Group. The podcast will focus on trending topics in the hospitality sector, leveraging both Sanders’ and Nyikos’ unique insights from their extensive industry backgrounds.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be on the ground floor working with the premier ground transportation solutions company in the tri-state area,” said Sanders. “Jeff Nyikos and his team at Leros are consummate professionals who have earned a sterling reputation for quality service for many years, and I am excited to be a part of a truly great company developing and managing client relationships as we launch this new initiative.”
For over 41 years, Leros has been a trusted leader in the transportation industry, providing premium ground transportation services across corporate travel, airport transfers, and event logistics. With operations in over 770 cities worldwide and extensive experience in managing complex logistical challenges, Leros brings a unique capability to the table. The company’s expertise in seamless transportation logistics will form a perfect synergy with Robert Sanders’ vast experience in meeting and event services, allowing Leros to offer a one-stop solution for meetings, events, and logistics management.
Sanders is also engaged with area business and community organizations, and currently serves on the Workforce Development Board, the Hudson Valley EDC, and as Co-Chair of the Hospitality Sector Partnership for Westchester County. He has also served on the Board of the Westchester County Association and as President of the Greater New York Metro Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), the premier worldwide association for meeting and event professionals. Earlier in his career, he worked with the American Red Cross, Bridges to Community, and Junior Achievement.
“Robert has an incredible wealth of experience and relationships in the hospitality industry that will be tremendously valuable to our company.” said Jeff Nyikos, President of Leros Transportation Group. “With Leros’ proven logistical experience and Robert’s industry leadership, this new Meeting Services division will be uniquely positioned to meet the growing demand for integrated event and transportation services. We are very excited to include our new Leros Meeting Services business as part of our portfolio of services in response to the tremendous demand in this market and look forward to having him help us grow this new division as a complement to our transportation services.”
Founded in 1983, Leros has developed a reputation for excellence, reliability, and safety in transportation. With more than four decades of experience, the company has handled transportation for corporate clients, high-profile events, and large-scale logistical operations. This extensive experience, combined with Robert’s expertise in event management, makes Leros Meeting Services an exceptional partner for clients seeking to streamline event planning and transportation.
