MorDance Spring Season May 2-4 in Yonkers

Yonkers, NY – MorDance, a trailblazing professional ballet company, is thrilled to announce its upcoming Spring Season performances at its new home in Yonkers. Through the immense generosity of AMS Acquisitions, MorDance was able to relocate from NYC to the heart of Yonkers this January. Join us for performances, taking place nightly from Thursday, May 2nd to Saturday, May 4th at 8:00 PM. Our performance on Friday, May 3rd will serve as the opening event for Yonkers Arts Weekend.

Prepare to be enchanted by truly captivating evenings of dance that ignite the senses and stir the soul. Led by renowned choreographer Morgan McEwen and illuminated by the masterful lighting design of Becky Heisler, our program features a series of three spellbinding ballets. “On The Waterfront” pays homage to the legendary Leonard Bernstein, breathing new life into his iconic score and celebrating the transformative power of dance and music in collaboration. “Depths Entangled” delves into the profound connections we forge with one another, inviting audiences on a journey through the intricacies of the human experience. Finally, “Echoes of Silence” meditates on collective social change with music from the folk movement, urging spectators to squarely face the repercussions of societal fractures.

Join us for an evening of artistic exploration and community as MorDance presents its Spring Season performances in Yonkers. Your attendance not only supports the arts but adds a special touch to the unfolding story of MorDance. We can’t wait to share this unique and inspiring journey with you!

This performance series is made possible through the generous support of AMS Acquisitions, the New York State Council on The Arts, and the Kaleta A Doolin Foundation.
