Event Details:
Whether you’ve lost a loved one to dementia, are worried yourself about possible lapses in your memory, or are simply interested in staying mentally sharp throughout life, there are active steps you can take to improve memory and brain health at every age. Join Lisa Feiner and Dr. Robert Kachko for a discussion of the underlying causes of memory loss and the latest science on keeping our brains sharp for life. They will help to demystify Alzheimer’s disease and other sources of cognitive decline.
Both Ms. Feiner and Dr. Kachko contributed to the recently published Minding Your Memory: What You Can Do Now to Prevent Dementia and Stay Sharp for Life which offers hope, clarity, and practical solutions for keeping your memory active and clear. Copies of Minding Your Memory will be available for sale courtesy of Bronx River Books and for signing by the contributors at the end of the event.
About the presenters:
Lisa Feiner, MBA, MEd, NBC-HWC, is a board-certified health and wellness coach based in Scarsdale and an active member of Westchester Reform Temple. She is a brain longevity specialist and co-founder of Sharp Again, a nonprofit dedicated to preventing Alzheimer’s Disease and providing early intervention when memory issues begin.
Robert Kachko, ND, LAc, is one of the Sharp Again Medical Advisory Board members and serves as the Director of Integrative Health at the Atria Institute in New York City. He earned a doctoral degree with honors in naturopathic medicine from the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine and a master’s degree in acupuncture from the Acupuncture Institute, also at Bridgeport. He is the author of several textbook chapters in the areas of mental health conditions, digestive disorders, and neurological conditions.
