Joseph Kaidanow Is New HHREC President

Harrison resident and attorney Joseph Kaidanow, Esq., has been named as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Holocaust & Human Rights Education Center, a not-for-profit organization serving Westchester County and beyond.

“I am truly honored to accept the responsibility of carrying out the mission of the Holocaust & Human Rights Education Center. The environment we find ourselves in today makes it vitally important to combat prejudice, intolerance and bigotry. We must teach our children to stand up for themselves as well as others, and to be Upstanders who defend the right of everyone to live in peace and with dignity,” said Kaidanow.

He is a Principal of Arkaid LLC, which invests in, manages and provides consulting services for both commercial and residential property. Kaidanow is also a Principal and President of Facilities Management and Relocation (FMR), a commercial and residential brokerage company.

Joseph is the son of two Holocaust survivors, Jerry and Ellen Kaidanow. Along with his wife of 29 years, Ellen, Joseph has raised his three children—Danielle, Sarah, and Josh—in Westchester County.

He serves on the board of the Leighton House Condominium in NYC. Kaidanow is also a member of the Jewish Community Center of Harrison and serves on its Yom HaShoah Committee. In addition, he has served on the board of the Holocaust & Human Rights Education Center for ten years.

The mission of the Holocaust & Human Rights Education Center is to enhance the teaching and learning of the lessons of the Holocaust to support the right of all people to be treated with dignity and respect.
