Dr. Heidi Davidson Appointed to Tompkins Community Bank Board for Its Hudson Valley Market
Expanding its dedication to supporting the communities it serves, Tompkins Community Bank has appointed Dr. Heidi Davidson to its Community Bank Board for Tompkins Hudson Valley. Dr. Davidson, who currently serves as co-founder and CEO of Galvanize Worldwide and Galvanize On Demand, brings nearly 30 years of marketing and communication leadership experience to her position. Her expertise will help ensure that Tompkins continues to effectively inform its audiences of initiatives across its Hudson Valley footprint.
“Dr. Davidson’s decades of experience in leading organizations to success is an invaluable asset to our growing Board,” said David DeMilia, president of Tompkins’ Hudson Valley market. “We are confident that her strategic planning and cross-organizational collaboration expertise will go a long way in helping our Board achieve its goal of deepening our commitment within our communities.”
Dr. Davidson, in addition to her position on Tompkins’ Community Bank Board, serves on the executive committee and board of the Business Council of Westchester, where she is the immediate past chair, and previously served on the boards of The Children’s Village (a nonprofit based in Dobbs Ferry, NY) and the YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and public relations, an MBA in marketing, and a doctorate in business from Pace University’s Lubin School of Business.
Dr. Davidson has been awarded the Enterprising Woman Award from the Women’s Enterprise Development Council and won Canada’s Top Women in Technology – Leadership Excellence Award; she has also been recognized via Westchester Magazine’s “Most Intriguing”, City & State Magazine’s “The Westchester Power 100” and PR News’ “Top Women in PR”.
