Bernard J. Graves III, P.E. Joins Chazen
Poughkeepsie, N.Y. (June 5, 2019) – The Chazen Companies is pleased to announce Bernard J. Graves III, P.E. has joined the company as a Geotechnical Project Engineer for its Geotechnical Engineering group located in Nashville.
Graves has five years of experience in the field, including shallow and deep foundation analysis, slope stability analysis, settlement estimates, lateral load analysis, instrumental monitoring, bearing capacity, pavement design, retaining wall design, and soil resistivity. Prior to joining Chazen, Graves worked for CDM Smith performing these duties, as well as geotechnical design reports and dam inspections.
“We’re looking forward to working with Ben and strengthening our geotechnical project expertise in Nashville” said Peter Romano, P.E., Principal, Director, Tennessee/Civil Engineering, Chazen.
Graves has a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee. In his new role at Chazen, he will help oversee the growing number of geotechnical opportunities in the Tennessee market and help support geotechnical projects. Graves currently lives in the Nashville area.
