LGI Forensic Engineering Shared Scarce Protective Gear with White Plains Hospital

As the ramifications of the Covid-19 became apparent to the leaders of LGI Forensic Engineering, their internal discussions turned to helping their neighbors. The company, which operates an accredited materials-testing laboratory, already had a stockpile of personal protective equipment for its staff’s use. After seeing reports in the media about the scarcity of personal protective equipment, the leadership at LGI Forensic Engineering decided to donate 50 lab coats and 50 pairs of shoe protectors to White Plains Hospital.

“My company needs them as much as the hospital does, but we decided that we should share and help them out in their time of need,” said Karen Pietropaolo, executive vice president and chief marketing officer.

LGI Forensic Engineering is considered an essential service because it provides forensic analysis for architectural, scientific, civil, electrical, mechanical and structural engineering. The company has continued its operations through the Covid-19 lockdown, with all staff working remotely.
