Please join us for the Holocaust & Human Rights Education Center’s Annual Benefit honoring Spencer Barback, Partner, Citrin Cooperman and recognizing Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr., Westchester County District Attorney.
Spencer is a Board Member and Past Board Chair of Feeding Westchester (The Food Bank of Westchester) and Board Member at the Westchester Public/Private Partnership for Aging Services and Chair of the Audit Committee. He is past president of his synagogue in Larchmont. Spencer is a CPA and is a tax partner at Citrin Cooperman with over 35 years of experience providing personal and estate tax planning and business consulting services. He is a Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), Past Director, NYSCCPA and Past President of its Westchester Chapter. Spencer is married to Ronnie. They have four children and seven grandchildren. We honor him for his many years of dedication and active leadership with these vital community organizations.
Westchester County District Attorney, Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. has dedicated his career to protecting our community through the fair and ethical pursuit of justice. In 1977, he joined the FBI as a Special Agent investigating civil rights violations, bank robberies, kidnappings, and extortion cases. In 1988, District Attorney Scarpino was elected Westchester County Court Judge. During his first year on the bench, he was appointed to expand the Special Narcotics Part where he presided over some of the most serious criminal cases in Westchester County to keep drugs off our street. In 1993, he was elected to the New York State Supreme Court for the Ninth Judicial District. During his tenue, he was assigned to the Special Matrimonial Part, Civil Part and Westchester County’s Mental Health Part. District Attorney Scarpino has served on the Office of Court Administration’s Advisory Committee on Criminal Law and Procedures as well as serving as Co-Chair of the Ninth Judicial District’s Pro Bono Committee. His service was recognized by the Westchester Women’s Bar Association with a “Justice for All” award in 2008 and again in 2015 with the “Access to Justice” award from the Legal Services of the Hudson Valley. A lifelong resident of Westchester County, District Attorney Scarpino and his wife, Leigh, reside in Bedford where they raised their three now-grown daughters.
Our benefit will take place on Thursday, October 24. Grand hors d’oeuvers and cocktails will begin at 6:30 PM, followed by program and dessert at 7:30 at the Westchester Country Club, 99 Biltmore Avenue, Rye, NY 10580.
