New York State’s Regional Economic Development Council Launches Workshop Series

Businesses, organizations and municipalities interested in learning more about the ninth round of REDC awards can attend a series of workshops to learn how to apply for grants. The State is offering more than $750 million to support regional priority projects.

“I would encourage anyone looking to apply to attend one of these workshops to explain the process,’’ said Marsha Gordon, President and CEO of the Westchester Business Council and a member of the Executive Committee of the Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development Council.

Staff from various NYS agencies will be on hand for the Mid-Hudson’s Consolidated Funding Application Workshop. Workshops include an overview of the application and the CFA process followed by informational breakout sessions on specific funding available from each state agency.

Workshops are being held in the Mid-Hudson Region, which covers the Hudson Valley, during May and June. One is being held in Westchester County on June 6, 9-11:30 a.m. at the Gateway Center at Westchester Community College, 75 Grasslands Road, Valhalla. Additional workshops will be held in neighboring counties including Putnam, Rockland, Dutchess and Ulster, Orange. For a complete list of workshops, click here.

Last year, the Mid-Hudson Regional Council, received $87.1 million for 122 projects in the Hudson Valley region.
