March of Dimes Salutes Real Estate Leaders
Congratulations to Robert Weinberg, Co-founder and President of Robert Martin Company and James Houlihan, Principal of Houlihan-Parnes Realtors who were honored at the 30th Annual March of Dimes Real Estate Awards Breakfast held Thursday at the Hilton Rye Town. Weinberg received the Real Estate Award and Houlihan received the Martin S. Berger Award for Lifetime Achievement.
BCW President and CEO Marsha Gordon presented the award to Weinberg. “Bob certainly was an entrepreneur but what really excited him and came to distinguish the company was his keen ability to tackle difficult projects and pioneer new concepts. His creativity is his hallmark and he really likes to figure out projects that are too difficult for other people,” Gordon said in her introduction. Weinberg co-founded along with the late Martin Berger the Robert Martin Company which has developed and managed over 6 million square feet office and industrial space.
The award to Houlihan was presented by Joseph Simone, President of Simone Development Companies. Houlihan is the managing principal of Houihanb-Parnes and has managed its daily operations since 1987. He is also an active partner in GHP Office Realty.
The annual fund-raising breakfast, which is the largest real estate event of the year in Westchester, drew a record crowd at the Hilton Rye Town. CBS2 News reporter Brian Conybeare was the emcee.
