High Point Center for Care Opens at Broadview at Purchase College

Bringing its exceptional brand of care to assisted living and memory care, BCW Member Broadview at Purchase College held a grand opening ceremony on Wednesday for its High Point Center for Care. More than 200 people attended the reception and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new center, which incorporates Broadview’s signature concept of intergenerational and lifelong learning. The university retirement community is now offering seniors who need additional support a community that promotes social connection and continued personal growth.
“The High Point Center for Care offers varying levels of care, including Assisted Living, Enhanced Assisted Living, and Memory Care, allowing our residents to age in place while still enjoying some of the same comforts, amenities, and activities as the Broadview community,” said Executive Director Ashley Wade. “We fully expect High Point to enjoy the same success as Broadview at Purchase College and to attract people who want to continue to enjoy living and explore new experiences.’’
The Broadview at Purchase College’s independent living community and standalone Villa homes, opened in December 2023, are fully occupied, and have a waiting list of prospective residents. The community was built on the college campus after state legislation was signed, allowing Purchase College to lease about 40 acres of land to Broadview. The partnership fosters intergenerational learning and helps generate income for the college community, providing for scholarships and educational improvements.
Purchase College President Michael E. Steiper, Ph.D. said, “We’re pleased to celebrate the opening of the High Point Center for Care at Broadview. The Center expands upon Broadview’s already important role in our community by providing assisted living and memory care. We’ve enjoyed welcoming Broadview residents into our community where they take part in a wide range of activities on campus, from attending events and performances to participating in campus celebrations and discussions. We’re grateful that High Point Center will enable Broadview residents to age in place and continue to be engaged and supported on campus as their needs evolve.”
