The Taco Project Expands to Downtown New Rochelle
BCW Member The Taco Project is expanding its network of restaurants known for delicious Mexican-inspired dishes with the recent opening of its newest location at 596 North Avenue in New Rochelle.
The first 50 people who showed up on April 15th for the grand opening of the New Rochelle restaurant were treated to free tacos, plus a chance to win free Taco Tuesdays for an entire year.
The eight-time “Best of Westchester”-winning restaurant, which recently celebrated ten years in business, now has six locations (in addition to New Rochelle, The Taco Project has restaurants in Tarrytown, Yonkers, Pleasantville, Bronxville, and Stamford, CT) as well as a food truck.
All Taco Project locations offer a variety of fresh, Mexican-inspired dishes, including tacos, burritos, bowls, quesadillas, salads, and desserts. Beer, wine, and cocktails—plus a variety of non-alcoholic beverages—are also available. The Taco Project offers a full catering menu at each location.
The Taco Project began as the dream of three longtime friends who turned into business partners: Westchester natives Nick Mesce, Sebastian Aliberti, and Carmelo Milio.
“We’re incredibly excited to join the vibrant and diverse New Rochelle community. Our goal with The Taco Project has always been to create more than just great food – we want to build spaces where people feel welcome, connected, and part of something special. We can’t wait to become part of the fabric of this neighborhood and serve up great tacos and memorable experiences for everyone who walks through our doors,” said Mesce.
The Taco Project’s New Rochelle location is open seven days a week, from 11 AM–10 PM, serving lunch, dinner, desserts, and drinks.
