KeyBank Gives Big Boost to Workforce Development
The KeyBank Foundation, a nonprofit charitable foundation funded by Cleveland-based KeyCorp, has contributed $100,000 to Westchester Medical Center for a new program aimed at helping entry-level employees advance in the healthcare field. The contribution, which will be distributed over a three-year period, will allow Westchester Medical Center’s organizational development and learning department to launch the School At Work program. The program aims to boost employee engagement by preparing entry-level staff at Westchester Medical Center, Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital and the Behavioral Health Center in Valhalla to advance in their careers. The nine-month workforce development program will cover topics including mastering communication, patient safety and satisfaction, medical terminology and future planning.
