Westchester Magazine Wine & Food Festival Celebrates County’s Impressive Food & Beverage Industry

The 9th Annual Westchester Magazine Wine & Food Festival continues throughout the weekend with over 100 restaurants and food trucks and more than 150 different types of wines, beers and spirits.

The six-day event draws more than 7,000 people from across the New York-metro area, including New York City, Westchester County, Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut. This year’s charity partners are Westchester Parks Foundation and Feeding Westchester.

“We are so proud to see how this festival has grown into a tremendous showcase of Westchester’s booming food and beverage industry, with some of the best chefs, restaurants, breweries and wine selections in the country,” said Marsha Gordon, CEO of the Business Council of Westchester. “This is yet another example of the great quality of life we are fortunate to enjoy in Westchester, which is an attraction for residents and businesses alike.”

The festival began with a kickoff celebration at Fortina’s in Yonkers on Monday, followed by a wine tasting tour through Italy held at Gigante Restaurant & Bar in Eastchester on Tuesday. On Wednesday, some of the area’s top mixologists competed to create the night’s best cocktail during the Taste & Style at Savor Westchester at The Westchester in White Plains. The Burger & Beer Blast is the hottest summer block party of the year, with dozens of restaurants, food trucks, live music, beer and spirits taking over the Kensico Dam in Valhalla on Thursday.

Don’t worry, though, there is still plenty in store! See the schedule of upcoming events below and visit www.westchestermagazine.com/winefood for complete details and tickets.

“Over the past nine years, this event has grown to become the signature food and beverage festival north of New York City,” says Westchester Magazine publisher Sam Wender. “What started as several events spread over two days is now a six-day festival packed with food, wine, chefs, bartenders, wine masters and more!”
