Westchester Corporate Cup 5k Summer Race Series Set to Return

White Plains, New York (June 6, 2016) – The Corporate Cup Race Series returns to Westchester County this year with three 5K evening races at Purchase College, State University of New York campus.

The races will be held on three Wednesdays—June 15, July 20 and August 10—and will feature men’s, women’s and co-ed corporate team competitions on the scenic perimeter road of the Purchase College campus. Teams will be comprised of either three men, three women or a combination of two men and two women. Individual walkers and runners are invited to compete, as well.

For each race, awards will be given to the top three men and women individual runners under 40; the top three men and women individual runners over 40; and the first place men’s, women’s and co-ed teams. The races will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the starting line located by the entrance of the university’s gym. There will be three water stations along the race route plus food, music and refreshments at the finish line. Free parking is available at lots E3, E4, and E5.

All race series proceeds will go to New Rochelle’s Hope Community Services, one of Westchester’s leading community outreach organizations.

“The race series offers companies an ideal way to get their folks together after work for a fun activity that promotes team-building and wellness,” said Ed Dorian Jr. of Dorian Drake International, one of the race series’ lead sponsors. “Participating in these races also provides a great opportunity to meet people from other local businesses while supporting a worthy local cause.”

The series, which is a nonprofit event, is being underwritten by entry fees and contribution from eight sponsoring companies: Heritage Realty Services, LLC; Dorian Drake International, Inc.; O’Connor Davies, LLP; Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.; Pearlgreen Corporation; Eifert, French & Ketchum; Normandy Real Estate Partners; Digestive Disease & Nutrition Center of Westchester, LLP; and Citibank, N.A. Now joining promotion of the race series as a media sponsor is 98.7 FM ESPN.
