SHORE Dinner & Auction Fundraiser Honors BRI Executive Director

The SHORE organization, Sheltering the Homeless is Our Responsibility, recently held its Annual Mid-Summer Dinner and Auction at the Orienta Beach Club in Mamaroneck. An awards ceremony honored Pierre Poux, founder and faithful member of SHORE; the Building & Realty Institute’s Executive Director, Albert Annunziata and their Board President, Vincent Mutarelli, Senior Vice President, Capital Bank.
Pierre Poux, who rallied with others for the rights of Westchester’s homeless since the 80’s, founded SHORE in the late 80’s. He has worked tirelessly against the odds, and effectively, in his role. The acknowledgment remarks and award presentation were given by Jane Perkinson, SHORE Board Member.

Albert Annunziata, Executive Director of the Building & Realty Institute of Westchester, has supported non-profit housing and community development efforts including SHORE/ICARE through BRI’s Foundation. He is a steadfast advocate for affordable housing and supports SHORE’s annual “Share a Meal with Friends” Fundraiser at Sam’s of Gedney Way since 2016. He was recently reappointed to the Westchester Housing Opportunities Commission, which is charged with educating, advocating and advising on the need for fair and affordable housing. The award presentation was given by Rose Noonan of the Housing Action Council who has served alongside Mr. Annunziata for many years in the effort to provide affordable housing.

Vincent Mutarelli, President of BRI’s Board of Trustees and Senior VP at Capital One serves on the Board of Directors of Housing Action Council. He is well-known for his volunteer efforts which also include Feeding Westchester and the Junio Achievement of Westchester.
“The Building & Realty Institute of Westchester is well-aligned with the mission of SHORE and grateful for this recognition of our support to the cause of its compassionate and vital mission”, said Margaret Collins, Director of Membership of the BRI.
