Power Breakfast a Big Success
More than 125 business leaders from both non-profit and private sectors were on hand Wednesday for the Tompkins Mahopac Bank Power Breakfast which featured an insightful panel discussion on best practices for corporate social responsibility.
Titled “Corporate Responsibility Done Right,” the program featured a distinguished panel that included: Craig Heard, President/CEO, Gateway Outdoor Advertising; Alison Madison, President, Madison Approach Staffing Inc.; Doug Singer, Co-Founder, Falcon & Singer PC; Sean P. Murphy, Vice-President, Murphy Brothers Contracting Inc. and Geri Pell, Private Wealth Advisor, CEO, Pell Wealth Partners. The program was moderated by Jennifer Flowers, Founder & CEO, Accreditation Guru, Inc.
Key themes discussed included factors in determining a social responsibility program that makes sense for your business, a lively discussion about promotion of efforts, internal reporting; aligning efforts with both pragmatic goals and passion, time and resources, communication between donors and businesses, and the effects of a social responsibility program on company culture, identity, and employee retention.
