WIN Participant EverFoam Tests Reusable Party Supplies

Westchester Innovation Network (WIN) participant EverFoam Products successfully completed its first test of reusable party balloons on December 8.
WIN matched Yonkers-based EverFoam with DNK Events for a Montefiore holiday party at an event space in Mount Vernon where EverFoam hung its models of reusable balloon stars among single use balloons. EverFoam’s balloons are filled with a soft foam that does not deflate, allowing event planners to repeatedly reuse the decorations.
EverFoam’s Founder Traci Jones received valuable feedback from DNK Events’ CEO Dwayne Brown after the test of her prototypes.“We wanted to see how well they fit in with the rest of the décor,” said Jones. “I got some great feedback from Dwayne in terms of how he felt the décor fit in with some of his single-use party decorations….and he was thrilled that he would be able to repurpose the stars for other events.” Other feedback included making the prototypes larger to match the standard party balloon size of 15 inches.
EverFoam and DNK Events will continue testing balloon prototypes in the coming months at several winter-themed parties. DNK Events will request specific designs for the upcoming events that will be manufactured by EverFoam.
Jones, who on November 20 received a $5,000 WIN Champion Awards for her innovation, said that she will continue testing her products with DNK Events until she is ready for low-volume production. “Dwayne is my end customer and target market. There is no one better to receive this type of feedback from,” said Jones, who called her WIN match with DNK Events “ideal.”
EverFoam was part of Element 46, in the Fall 2022 Cohort. The Element 46 Tech Accelerator Powered by Cela Innovation is Westchester County’s full-scale startup accelerator program, an initiative of the Office of Economic Development.
