Starwood Plan Moves Ahead Thanks to BCW Support
A hotel, restaurant, office and residential complex proposed by Starwood Capital Group and supported by the BCW received approval from Port Chester this week, clearing the way for the project on the site of the former United Hospital.
The $450 million development received a zoning change for the 15-acre site and agreed to pay a density fee of $3 million to support community projects, as well as set aside 36 units of affordable housing.
“This is wonderful news,’’ said BCW President and CEO Marsha Gordon. “We have been a strong and long-time proponent of this exciting project which will generate over $60 million in revenue for the village, $2 million for the schools and create more than 3,000 new jobs. This will be a tremendous benefit for Port Chester and the county.’’
