Regeneron this week announce the 40 finalists in the 2017 Science Talent Search Competition. Three of those high school students were from Westchester.

The competition, which Regeneron took over from Intel last year, is designed to reward the brightest and best STEM students across the country. The 40 finalists earned all-expenses paid trips to Washington, D.C., and are eligible to win $1.8 million in prize money with $250,000 of that going to the top project.

Westchester finalists were: Jonathan Chung of Hendrick Hudson High School, Audrey Saltzman of Byram Hills High School, and Blake Hord of Dobbs Ferry High School.

BCW President and CEO Marsha Gordon congratulated the students and their school districts and applauded Regeneron for taking over this important competition. “We must develop and retain talent in all segments of the business community if we are to remain competitive in the future,’’ said Gordon. “The BCW is doing its part to promote programs to help develop our future leaders.’’
