Hollywood on Hudson Welcomes Mediapro Studios

Located at 1050 North Broadway, the 100,000 square-foot facility boasts three stages totaling 50,000 square feet of stage space.

Yonkers reputation as Hollywood on Hudson – a premier destination for the entertainment industry — was further bolstered this week with the opening of the new Mediapro Studios At Great Point Studios, a state-of-the-art production complex, complete with soundstages, post-production facilities, and a host of amenities designed to attract filmmakers, content creators, and production companies from all corners of the globe. Mediapro is the city’s 11th studio.

Located at 1050 North Broadway, the 100,000 square-foot facility boasts three stages totaling 50,000 square feet of stage space ranging from 10,000 to 20,000 square feet. The space is designed to accommodate both large-scale and more intimate projects. It features a mill shop with adjacent loading docks, equipment storage, office space, sound and control rooms. Mediapro Studios was recently leased to NBCUniversal Television for an upcoming series.

The new campus is within the 30-mile NYC Film Zone and is a 10-minute drive from the newly-renovated Yonkers train station which offers a 30-minute commute to Grand Central Station in Midtown Manhattan. A two-story parking deck provides ample parking for cast and crew.

“Yonkers continues to prove we are a place where world-class creativity can thrive. This new Mediapro campus is a shining example of how our city is attracting global talent and major productions, creating jobs, energizing our economy, and showcasing Yonkers as a leader in the film industry,” said Mayor Mike Spano.

The collaboration between Mediapro and BCW Member Great Point Studios is creating a world-class hub for film and television production right in the heart of Yonkers,

“We’re thrilled to partner with Mediapro and expand our production facility footprint in Yonkers. Mayor Spano and the entire Yonkers community has been incredibly supportive and welcoming as they share in our vision for regional economic growth,” said Robert Halmi, Founder & CEO of Great Point Studios.

Halmi was honored by the BCW at its Annual Dinner in 2022.  The BCW has always supported the continuation of the state’s Film Tax Credit Program.
