Entrepreneur Tom Kallish Launches Cobi, First 100% Cotton, Biodegradable Dryer Sheet
Everyone’s Earth, which creates consumer goods to improve life and the planet, has launched Cobi, the first 100% cotton, biodegradable dryer sheet. Offering consumers a more sustainable, eco-minded cleaning product choice, Cobi dryer sheets—named for the first two letters of cotton, and the first two letters of biodegradable—are made with all-natural, sustainably farmed U.S.-grown cotton without any plastic or synthetic materials.
“Virtually all dryer sheets sold today are made from plastic and a cocktail of chemicals and toxins, many of which never break down, causing harm to you and your family’s health,” said Tom Kallish, founder of Everyone’s Earth. Kallish is the founder of Tommie Copper and winner of the 2016 BCW Hall of Fame Award for Entrepreneurial Business Success. “Our cotton-based technology is the future of laundry care. Cobi Dryer Sheets are the solution to the 50 billion dryer sheets that end up in landfills each year, offering the only true clean manufactured, fully biodegradable solution,”
The launch of Cobi is the first product slated in a line of additional consumer goods from Everyone’s Earth. Future products will include wipes and diapers, feminine hygiene and adult care items, all made without the industry standard polypropylene and thermoplastic polymers. Every product Everyone’s Earth will introduce will be 100% biodegradable and manufactured with the company’s Elevated Air Injection (EAI) process.
“Our society today is choking the planet with too many plastic products, which take an estimated 500-800 years to degrade into microplastics but remain in all aspects of our environment forever. If we all make small changes to our daily habits and the products we use in favor of a more sustainable way of living, we will be able to make massive positive changes for our planet and future generations,” Kallish continued.
Cobi dryer sheets are made and sourced in the U.S. via a clean manufacturing process using only cotton fiber, water and air. There is no waste production, and no water is wasted in the manufacturing process. The sheets keep clothes fresh, soft and static-free without harmful additives.
