New York Hospitality Group: Feeding our Healthcare Workers

New York Hospitality Group of White Plains is preparing hundreds of meals for hospitals on the front lines and feeding community members in need during the coronavirus pandemic.

Peter and Karen Herrero of New York Hospitality Group of White Plains are always on the front lines helping out even during ordinary times, so it is no surprise that their company has stepped up to support our healthcare workers and local hospitals. They’ve also worked to get food to those who are suffering at this time and have kept their restaurant open for take-out and curbside delivery seven days a week for people who cannot cook or shop for themselves. Currently, New York Hospitality Group is preparing more than 700 breakfast, lunch and dinner meal replacements each day for NewYork Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt Manor and White Plains Hospital so their staff can concentrate on patients. They have also been providing meals, KIND bars and beverages to White Plains Hospital staff to an average of between 100 and 1,000 people each week, as well as delivering over 2,800, 14 lbs. grocery bags to the White Plains Hospital, the City of White Plains Slater Center; Open Door Community Centers in Ossining and Port Chester and the Child Care Council in Scarsdale.

“People are all coming together to help in whatever capacity they can. We are blessed to be able to help,’’ said Karen Herrero.
