Congressional Primary Results
Tuesday’s primaries allowed incumbent congressmen Jamaal Bowman, D-Yonkers, and Sean Patrick Maloney, D-Cold Spring, to cruise to a reelection in a low-turnout election. In the November elections, Rep. Maloney will face state Assemblyman Mike Lawler, R-Pearl River, and Bowman will face Dr. Miriam Levitt Flisser, the former mayor of Scarsdale, in November. This week’s primary results set the tone for the BCW’s virtual “Countdown to the Mid-Term Election” event in October. The webinar will be part of the BCW’s ongoing Political Leadership Series, and the program includes top political leaders, national polling experts and national reporters who are covering the state and national elections. Be sure to look for an email about this event in the coming weeks.
