Winning Journal News Editorial Boosts BCW’s Coalition for Westchester Airport
Immediately following a very successful press conference to launch the Coalition for Westchester Airport, key leaders from the Business Council of Westchester met with The Journal News/LoHud.com Editorial Board, making the case in support of one of the county’s most essential economic assets.
“Let’s lower the rhetoric and separate myths from facts,” said John Ravitz, executive vice president of the BCW. “This is about enhancing services, not enlarging services.”
After a thorough review of the key issues – environmental and noise protections; operations and service improvements; economic development and community quality of life – the Editorial Board concluded: “If a better airport is possible, don’t dismiss the idea because someone else came up with it.”
