Business Council of Westchester Joins New York State United to help Celebrate the FIFA World Cup Final at Kensico Dam Plaza
The excitement of the 2026 FIFA World Cup extended right here to Westchester County as thousands of fans gathered at Kensico Dam Plaza for New York State United’s World Cup Watch Experience, celebrating the championship match in a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere.
The Business Council of Westchester was proud to help support and promote this statewide celebration. BCW President & CEO Dr. Marsha Gordon and Executive Vice President/COO John Ravitz both served as members of the Mid-Hudson FIFA Committee, working alongside regional leaders to help maximize the economic and community opportunities surrounding the historic tournament.
Leading up to the event, the BCW also helped spread the word across its social media channels, encouraging businesses, families, and soccer fans throughout the region to take part in this exciting community celebration.
The event brought together thousands of attendees to watch the World Cup Final on giant outdoor screens while enjoying entertainment, food, and activities that showcased the energy and diversity of our region. As one of many host-community celebrations held throughout New York State, the gathering highlighted the power of sports to unite communities, drive tourism, and generate meaningful economic activity for local businesses.
