Blue Book Network Goes Green
The Blue Book Building and Construction Network is the latest company to be awarded Green Business Certified by Westchester Green Business. A founding member of Westchester Green Business, The Blue Book Network is a 104 year-old, employee-owned company headquartered at a 65,000-square-foot, 35-acre campus in Jefferson Valley.Under the leadership of President Richard Johnson and Manager of Facilities and Corporate Services, Robb Kalmer, the company successfully implemented a comprehensive sustainability program including improvements to lighting and energy, recycling, transportation, materials management and water conservation.
“We are delighted to be celebrating this remarkable achievement with The Blue Book Network team, said WGB Program Director Dani Glaser at the award ceremony held October 6. “The Blue Book was one of the first companies to join our program and has shown incredible leadership throughout the entire certification process. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with The Blue Book team in the years ahead.”
Westchester Green Business is a Business Council of Westchester program administered in partnership with Westchester County since 2009. The program provides a turnkey system to successfully integrate sustainable business practices into company operations.
