Gov. Hochul to Receive BCW’s Global Leadership Laureate Award

In what will be Westchester’s business event of the year, the BCW Annual Dinner 2023 next Wednesday will honor Gov. Kathy Hochul with its Global Leadership Laureate Award in recognition of her lifetime of achievement in New York.
Governor Hochul is the 57th Governor of New York State, and the first woman to hold this position. Since being sworn into office in 2021, she has proved herself to be a committed leader establishing a bold vision for New York’s future by spearheading comprehensive policies and initiatives to help New Yorkers and their families, while building a stronger, more inclusive economy.
Having started her career in public service on her local town board, serving as Erie County Clerk and as a Member of Congress for New York’s 26th Congressional District, Governor Hochul understands the problems confronting local communities. As Lieutenant Governor, she chaired the statewide Regional Economic Development Councils, and served as co-chair of the State’s Heroin and Opioid Task Force, Women’s Suffrage Commission, and Child Care Availability Task Force.
Governor Hochul has participated in several BCW events over the years. We welcome her back.
The Annual Dinner will be held at the VIP Country Club, 600 Davenport Ave., New Rochelle. Click here to buy tickets for the event.
