YMCA Named #2 in “Top 20 Places to Take Kids in Westchester County” in Kids Out And About Survey
The YMCA is proud to announce it has been named #2 in Kids Out And About’s “Top 20 Places to Take Kids in Westchester County.” This recognition reflects the strength of the community the YMCA serves and its ongoing commitment to supporting children and families.
This honor is especially meaningful as it is based on votes from the community. It highlights the trust families place in the YMCA and the positive experiences children have through its programs and services. From the moment children walk through the doors, they are welcomed into an inclusive environment where they are encouraged to connect, grow, and thrive.
The YMCA is dedicated to more than just program delivery. Its mission is grounded in the core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, which guide every interaction and initiative. Through youth development programs, summer camp, and child care services, the YMCA works to ensure every child feels supported, empowered, and inspired to reach their full potential.
This recognition is shared across the entire YMCA community, including its staff, volunteers, donors, and the families it serves. Each plays an essential role in creating meaningful experiences and strengthening the impact of the organization throughout Westchester County.
“We are deeply grateful to everyone who voted and to all who continue to support our mission,” said Cynthia Delfino-Birdsall, President & CEO of the YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester. “This recognition belongs to our community, and it motivates us to continue building a welcoming space where every child and family can succeed.”
The YMCA remains committed to strengthening community and making a lasting difference in the lives of children and families every day.
