About the Role
Yes She Can is seeking a compassionate and motivated Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Work Skills Coach to support young adults with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in a hands-on retail training program.
In this role, you’ll help participants build job skills, confidence, and independence in a supportive, real-world environment. This position is part of a program aligned with OPWDD Self-Direction services.

What You’ll Do
• Provide direct support (DSP services) to individuals with autism and IDD
• Coach participants in developing workplace, social, and daily living skills
• Teach job readiness skills including communication, teamwork, and customer service
• Provide hands-on training in a boutique retail setting
• Support individualized goals based on each participant’s Life Plan
• Encourage independence, confidence, and self-advocacy
• Track progress and complete required documentation for services
• Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and families
• Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and structured environment

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree OR relevant experience as a DSP, job coach, paraprofessional, or in direct care
• Experience supporting individuals with autism, IDD, or neurodivergent populations preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Organized, dependable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable using basic technology

Additional Requirements
• Must pass background checks
• Must complete required trainings for DSP roles
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA

Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
• Comfortable working in a retail and training environment
